We help leaders identify and mitigate talent risks during critical workforce transformations.
What makes us different?
At STC, we go beyond providing a transformation roadmap.
We sweat the details to:
Give you data on what your current workforce is actually doing.
Show “breadcrumbs” from the old way to the new way to support buy-in.
Assess talent risks and draft mitigation action plans.
Provide clear data on progress so you can troubleshoot skill gaps and bottlenecks sometimes months or years before they become an actual problem.
Identify and deconstruct AI-ready tasks, then help you build the resources you need to develop AI agents.
Clarify roles and guide key decisions in cross-group collaboration.
Help you identify and build the skills your team needs to thrive in an AI-powered world.
STC History
For over 30 years, we’ve helped global companies navigate big changes like reorganizations, acquisitions, outsourcing, and digital transformations. Now we’re also applying our proven methodology to AI implementation, to help find the right mix between human-centered and AI-enabled work.
Our Founder, Steve Trautman, developed the methodology at Microsoft during their explosive global growth of the 1990s-2000s. As a program manager, Steve saw the need to quickly replicate top engineering talent and measurably reduce bottlenecks, while protecting the culture. Since he and his co-workers were deeply impatient and already working long hours, he had to design our process to fit into 30–90-minute increments and provide valuable insights and actional next steps during each session.
When you work with STC, you get direct access to our founder, Steve Trautman, and our team of exceptional consultants who bring deep expertise and execution support in managing talent risk across every type of transformation. Our team doesn’t simply make recommendations. We conduct primary research to build you a targeted data set based on your teams’ workflows, and goals, enabling leaders to objectively identify, communicate, and mitigate your highest priority talent risks.
