To implement our 3-step knowledge transfer solution we need a commitment from a sponsoring senior executive—ideally a line executive or above, outside of HR—with some participation from your human resources department, and time from mentors and managers. We do not need mentors who are “nice” people or naturally gifted teachers.

Our process is not dependent on your mentor’s degree of social skills. We do not even need mentors who are particularly agreeable. They simply need to be competent and willing to spend limited, focused time. We have worked hard over the years to devise a process with as few roadblocks to transferring your company’s knowledge as possible—and one that puts you, the executive, back in control of your knowledge transfer problems.
